All charges dropped against man accused of fatal Highway 50 in Jefferson City

All charges have been dropped against a man accused of a fatal crash on Highway 50 in Jefferson City on Halloween 2025. Jervontaye Warmack had been charged with Second Degree Involuntary Manslaughter, DWI, and two counts of First Degree Endangering Welfare of Child Creating Substantial Risk. On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, all of the charges were dropped . Cole County Prosecutor Locke Thompson said the case was dismissed after the lab results came back on blood drawn from Warmack. The results showed that he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash. The Jefferson City Police Department’s crash reconstruction team found that the victim was at fault for the crash by cutting across the divided median.
