MONROE, Conn. (WTNH) -- An Aldi grocery store in Monroe is closed to customers after a crash caused significant damage to the building on Saturday afternoon. According to Monroe Volunteer Fire Department No. 1, crews responded to the Aldi on Monroe Turnpike at around 3 p.m. on Saturday after it was reported that a driver had crashed into the building. No injuries were reported, but the building sustained significant damage and the store is currently closed while the damage is assessed.
