Alcohol a likely factor in deadly I-70 crash in Englewood: OSP

One man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on I-70 Thursday night. The Dayton Patrol Post of OSP says that the crash happened minutes before 11 p.m., with crews dispatched to eastbound I-70 near mile marker 35 near Vandalia. An investigation determined that the driver of a Ford Focus traveled off the right of the road and struck a guard rail. The impact sent the Ford into the concrete median; the driver of the vehicle was ejected. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Peter Wade, was pronounced deceased after being transported to a local hospital. As the investigation into the crash continues, alcohol is considered to be a factor.
