Albany woman sentenced for deadly DWI crash that sent car airborne

An Albany woman has been sentenced for a deadly DWI crash. Her car went airborne and nearly 200 feet down an embankment. Imahjai Sutherland, 25, received 6 2/3 to 20 years in prison. Sutherland was traveling about 81 miles per hour near I-90 and 787 in October 2025. PREVIOUS: Driver charged in fatal Albany crash that killed two passengers Jamilla Tirado, 27, and Cepelynn Johnson, 25, were killed. Sutherland’s blood alcohol level was determined to be .18% — more than twice the legal limit. Investigators also say she had cannabis in her system.
