Accident near Paris closes IL Route 1
UPDATE: At 12:16 p.m. in Edgar County, Illinois, Illinois Route 1 has reopened following a morning crash that caused a temporary closure of the road. According to State Police, both lanes are now accessible again. Unfortunately, there is no current update regarding the condition of those injured in the accident. The crash, involving three vehicles including two semis and a passenger vehicle, occurred at 7 a.m. near East 400th Road south of Paris. Paris' Fire Chief labeled it a serious incident and recommended avoiding the area. While two individuals were taken to the hospital, their current status remains unknown.
