The Trumbull County engineer is scheduled to evaluate the extent of the damage and determine when the bridge can be reopened. The responsible driver, who notified the police about the incident the following morning, confessed that a momentary distraction caused him to collide with the bridge. The driver, who sustained a severe arm injury, will be cited for failing to maintain control of his vehicle.
