A 3 vehicle crash in Vancouver injures 1 possible DUI suspected

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) —A three-vehicle crash in Vancouver on Friday left one injured, and officers suspect it may have been the result of driving under the influence. Authorities responded to a crash just after 6 p.m. on Friday and saw a black Dodge Ram pickup on top of a gray Tesla Model 3 sedan. Additionally, a third vehicle, a white Ford Econoline, was also involved in the collision and blocked the westbound lane of NE 99th St. After some investigation, authorities said that the Dodge Ram was traveling westbound on NE 99th St and entered the intersection at NE 130th Ave by running a red light. The Ford Econoline was traveling southbound through the intersection on a green light when the front of the Dodge Ram struck the driver’s side of the Ford. The Dodge Ram continued to drive west as it slid broadside into the eastbound lane of NE 99th St, where it collided with the Tesla Model 3, which was stopped for the traffic signal at NE 130th Ave. Officers at the scene believed the Ram driver was impaired and conducted a DUI investigation. The driver of the Tesla was uninjured, but the driver of the Ford Econoline was transported to the hospital with injuries. Investigators believe there may be witnesses that observed the behavior of the Ram driver before the crash but the case is still ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Vancouver police. This is a developing story,
