911 calls, video from sheriff's office provides new insight into deadly Casselberry crash
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office has released the 911 calls and their aerial footage of a deadly crash in Casselberry that killed two people after a suspect allegedly fled from a traffic stop.Rather than pursue the suspect in a chase, SCSO followed the suspect's vehicle in the air. In the video from the sheriff's office, the suspect's vehicle can be seen weaving in and out of cars in the moments leading up to the impact.>> Watch video from the sheriff's office below. Viewer discretion advised.911 calls trickled in immediately following the crash.One 911 call was from a man reporting a "horrible accident" on U.S. Highway 17/92 near SR-436."Right at Sunnytown Road, a car just came through here, passed me at about 100 mph, and slammed right into another car,” he said. "They definitely need medical. There’s a car on fire right now, it’s just catching on fire."Another one of the 911 calls contained an automated message that said, “The owner of this iPhone was in a severe car crash and is not responding to their phone,” before providing coordinates. It's unclear if this phone belonged to someone involved in the crash.The victims killed in the crash have been identified as 42-year-old Christopher Marier and 40-year-old Tyler Marier.
