9-year-old boy killed in ATV crash in Utah County
UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A 9-year-old boy died after an accident in an all-terrain vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday. According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, a 9-year-old boy was riding with his stepfather in an ATV on West Mountain when the vehicle crashed and rolled around 11:30 a.m. The child was reportedly wearing protective equipment but was critically injured. When medical personnel arrived on scene, individuals were already attempting to perform life-saving measures. The boy was life-flighted to Primary Children's Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries. Sergeant Ray Ormond, with the Utah County Sheriff's Office, has stated that this is still an active investigation, but it is believed to be a tragic accident. Officials have not confirmed any additional information about the incident.
