75-year-old Belding man dies after two-vehicle crash
A Belding man died after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in Ionia County. Just before 4:30 p.m., deputies with the Ionia County Sheriff's Office (ICSO) responded to a two vehicle crash on Graff Road at Bradford Road in Easton Township. Local : Power restored after driver crashes into power poles in Kalamazoo, repairs ongoing A preliminary investigation reveals that a 75-year-old Belding man traveling south on Graff Road in a pickup truck when he was hit by a 20-year-old Belding man traveling east in a Dodge Ram 3500. Despite lifesaving efforts from first responders, paramedics, and firefighters, the 75-year-old man, identified as Earl Peterson, Jr., succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, ICSO said in a release. Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected factors, pending toxicology testing.
