71-year-old pedestrian dies following late night crash in SE Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A pedestrian died Thursday after a crash in Southeast Portland late Wednesday night, officials said. At around 11:30 p.m. on June 3, Portland police said they responded to Southeast 92nd Avenue after reports that a pedestrian had been hit. The pedestrian was quickly taken to a nearby hospital while the driver remained at the scene. Officials said that the driver showed no signs of impairment, and no charges have been pressed. On June 4, officials said the pedestrian, identified as Ronnie J. Jessie, 71, died due to injuries from the crash. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact Portland police.
