70-year-old dies in Boone County, Arkansas three-vehicle crash
BOONE COUNTY, Ark. — A 70-year-old man has died after a three-vehicle crash in Boone County, Arkansas, on Monday, Feb. 16. According to the crash summary from the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, William Elting, of Harrison, Arkansas, died after a crash around 8:35 a.m. on U.S. Highway 62 and 65 on Monday. The crash occured as Elting was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado north when he entered the southbound lanes and collided with an unidentified person in a 2024 Ram 2500. Officials state the second vehicle pushed into 54-year-old Eric Kirk, who was driving a 2014 Ram 2500 during the incident. Etling's next of kin has been notified of his death, the summary says. Kirk was transported to the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center after sustaining injuries in the crash. The crash was investigated by the Harrison Police Department.
