6 hospitalized after car crash involving MTS bus in Chula Vista
CHULA VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A car crash in Chula Vista on Thursday morning sent six people to the hospital, authorities said. The Chula Vista Fire Department said that units were dispatched around 11:14 a.m. to an accident on Santa Alicia Avenue and E Palomar Street involving an MTS bus and a car. When they arrived, they found seven people at the scene; one person had to be rescued from the car. Six people were transported to local hospitals. Officials did not confirm whether the six people were riding in the car or bus during the time of the accident. The Chula Vista Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident. Fire officials said the scene has been cleared, and there is no impact to traffic in the area.
