59-year-old Topeka resident dies in rollover crash in Jefferson County
A Topeka resident tragically lost their life in a Jefferson County crash on Thursday night, according to state troopers. The incident happened around 10:20 p.m. on Jan. 1 along U.S. 24 Highway near mile marker 389. The driver of a GMC Sierra was headed west on the highway when they failed to negotiate a curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn multiple times. The driver, identified as 59-year-old Ahijah L. Adams from Topeka, was ejected during the rollover and did not survive the crash.
