55-year-old killed in multiple vehicle accident in Edgar Co.
EDGAR COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A multiple vehicle accident in Edgar County over the weekend resulted in the death of a 55-year-old. According to the Edgar County Coroner, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Shiloh Road and Horace-Brocton Road. The accident occurred after a 2012 Ford Expedition traveling southbound on Shiloh Road failed to stop at a stop sign, said the Edgar County Coroner. The Ford Expedition then collided with another vehicle traveling westbound on Horace-Brocton Road. "The impact of the crash caused the southbound Ford Expedition to roll over and land on its roof," said the Edgar County Coroner's Office in a social media post. The crash resulted in the death of Michelle Vance, of Murdock, Illinois. All other passengers involved in the accident were transported from the scene for medical treatment with non-life-threatening injuries. The Edgar County Coroner's Office added that the accident is still under investigation by their office and the Edgar County Sheriff's Department.
