52 accidents in Hampton Roads during second winter storm
Over the past weekend, the Virginia State Police responded to a total of 325 crashes across the state from Thursday to Sunday, with 52 of those occurring in Hampton Roads during the second winter storm. Among the crashes, there were 34 reported injuries and three fatalities. One fatal crash in Greensville is currently being investigated. It's worth noting that not all of the crashes were directly related to the storm, according to VSP. The breakdown of crashes during the storm across different regions was as follows: 33 in Central Virginia/Richmond, 21 in Northwest Virginia/Winchester/Harrisonburg, 36 in Central/Western Virginia/Appomattox, 54 in Southwest Virginia, 76 in Western Virginia/Roanoke, and 53 in Northern Virginia.
