5-year-old survives crash that killed 2 Farmington residents in Colorado

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – Colorado State Patrol said two Farmington residents were killed in a crash east of Bayfield, Colorado, on Friday. According to police, a Chevrolet S10 had rolled off the south shoulder of eastbound Highway 160, flipped potentially multiple times, and then came to rest on its roof. Police believe the crash happened around 6 a.m. on Friday, but it was not visible from the road and was not reported until Saturday afternoon. Devante Griffin, 25, and 24-year-old Klariza Tarango died on scene. A five-year-old girl survived the crash and was taken to the hospital. She has been released. Police do not believe impairment or speed are factors. They do not expect to file charges.
