5 people killed in head-on crash on Hwy 41, CHP says
KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Five people were killed in a fiery head-on crash on Highway 41 in Kings County Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP says around 10:30 a.m., a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was going southbound on Highway 41, south of York Avenue. At the same time, a white 2022 Toyota Prius was heading northbound on Highway 41. Investigators say the driver of the Chevrolet was passing slower-moving traffic and crashed head-on into the Prius After the crash, the Chevrolet overturned and was engulfed in flames, killing the driver and three passengers. The driver of the Toyota also died from the crash at the scene.
