45-year-old man found dead after DTLA traffic collision
A 45-year-old man was found dead following a traffic-related incident in downtown Los Angeles early Friday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Officers responded around 3:06 a.m. to reports of a collision, the LAPD confirmed. When they arrived, they found the man unresponsive, and he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said a death report was filed, but the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. LAPD officials said they could not immediately confirm whether the man was struck by a vehicle or if a vehicle may have fallen on him. Video from the scene showed law enforcement taping off the scene, and a woman could be heard screaming from out of frame. The investigation is ongoing, officials said.
