38-year-old man dies in ATV crash Saturday afternoon
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A 38-year-old Sioux Falls man died in a single-vehicle crash in Sioux Falls Saturday afternoon. According to Sioux Falls Police Sgt. Jacob Harris, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to North 9th Street and North Healy Lane for a single-vehicle rollover. When officers arrived on the scene, they identified that the driver had been ejected from the ATV. The driver, Dustin Freeman, 38, of Sioux Falls, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and later was pronounced dead. The SFPD traffic team responded to the scene and determined that speed was a factor in the crash. SFPD is waiting for the results of the toxicology to determine whether alcohol was a factor or not.
