New details have emerged regarding a burglary at the Mooresville residence of Greg Biffle, the former NASCAR driver who tragically lost his life, along with his family and others, in a plane crash in Statesville. The break-in was reported on January 8, 2026, at 6:23 p.m., and is categorized as a burglary involving forcible entry. The incident report reveals that $30,000 in cash and a backpack valued at around $30 were stolen from the Biffle Estates. Authorities are actively investigating the case, with no arrests made yet. This burglary occurred in the aftermath of the devastating plane crash on December 18, 2025, which claimed the lives of all seven occupants aboard the Cessna Citation business jet, including Greg Biffle, his wife, son, and others. The cause of the crash is still being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), with a preliminary report anticipated in the near future. A public remembrance service for Greg Biffle is scheduled for Friday, January 16, at Bojangles Coliseum.
