3 people taken to hospital after car crash, one critical
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- Three people have been taken to the hospital after a car crash in Youngstown left one of them in critical condition. Around 8:45, police responded to the intersection of South Jackson St. and Wilson Ave. after two cars collided. Officers with the Youngstown Police Department told our team on the scene that they believe it was caused by a mechanical failure in one of the vehicles, but the cause is still under investigation. When one of the occupants got out of the car, they were partially run over, according to police. They have since been taken to the hospital, and their condition is being listed as critical. Two other people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Part of Wilson Ave. was closed off, but has since reopened. Dominic O'Brien contributed to this report.
