3 hurt in crash involving school bus in Reidsville, Rockingham County officials say
REIDSVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) -- A student, a bus driver and another driver were taken to the hospital on Monday after a crash involving a school bus in Reidsville, according to Rockingham County officials. Around 4:25 p.m., a Rockingham County Schools bus was going east on US-158 near the Yanceyville Fire Department, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. A Ford Transit van was going west on US-158, crossed the center line and hit the school bus. Troopers say the school bus ran off the road and partially overturned in a ditch in the area of Highway 158, Brooks Road and Vaughn Road. A middle school-aged student and the school bus driver were left with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Rockingham County Schools. The driver of the other vehicle was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. RCS released the following statement on Monday evening:
