3 hurt in 3-car crash

SANDUSKY — Three people went to the hospital on Monday morning after they were involved in a three-vehicle crash on First Street in Sandusky. At about 11 a.m., first responders were called to the 1900 block of First St. for a crash. They arrived to find a blue SUV that rear-ended a black pickup truck. The SUV was then struck by a white sedan. The sedan's airbags deployed, and the vehicle suffered extensive front-end damage. It was towed from the scene. The truck was able to be driven away. It is unclear if the SUV was drivable. A man and two small children from the sedan were transported to the hospital as a precaution, according to Sandusky fire Capt. Matt Lesch. Traffic in the area was diverted down East Farwell for eastbound vehicles and Cedar Point Drive for westbound vehicles.
