3 critically injured in Myrtle Beach motorcycle crash; N. Kings Highway closed for investigation

A crash involving a motorcycle shut down a stretch of North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach on Saturday evening and sent three people to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Myrtle Beach Police Department (MBPD). Police said officers responded at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, to the area of 5th Avenue North and North Kings Highway for a vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Officials said three individuals were transported with life-threatening injuries. North Kings Highway is closed in both directions from 5th Avenue North to 7th Avenue North as officers investigate. Motorists are advised to expect delays because the roadway is expected to remain closed while crews worked to clear the area.
