23-year-old killed in deadly wrong-way collision in Sutter County
Authorities in Sutter County revealed on Wednesday the identity of the individual who tragically lost their life in a head-on collision due to incorrect direction of travel. A white Volkswagen Tiguan was reported to have been driving the wrong way on SR-70, colliding with a red Toyota Corolla near Striplin Road. Sadly, the driver of the Corolla, identified as 23-year-old Miguel Sigala-Flores from Willows, was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver of the Volkswagen sustained severe injuries and was taken to a hospital, along with a 1-year-old infant for evaluation. The current conditions of the woman and the baby have not been disclosed. The incident is still being investigated to determine the cause of the collision.
