2 rushed to hospital after crash shuts down part of Molly Pitcher Highway: dispatch

Two were sent to the hospital after a late Sunday crash closed down a Franklin County highway, dispatch told CBS 21. Dispatch said the call came in at 9:43 a.m. to the 7800 block of Molly Pitcher Highway in South Hampton Township, where two cars had crashed. One person had to be extracted from the vehicle, and medical helicopters were requested to the scene. However, according to dispatch, all helicopters were declined due to weather conditions. Both people were then rushed to an area hospital to be treated. The roadway between Mount Rock Road and Diffys Drive was temporarily closed down. State police were assisted at the scene by the Shippensburg Fire Department and the West End Fire and Rescue Company.
