2 people including Placer County deputy sent to hospital after crash

A Placer County deputy responding to a school shooting threat was taken to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after getting into a crash.KCRA 3's Brian Hickey was at Sierra College and Douglas boulevards when he observed a deputy being taken on a stretcher to an ambulance. Another person involved in the crash was also sent to the hospital.KCRA 3 is working to gather details on what led to the crash and the extent of injuries.The Placer County Sheriff's Office said the deputy was heading to Granite Bay High School for a reported shooting threat when he got into the crash.There was a heavy law enforcement presence at the intersection where the crash happened for about an hour before deputies cleared the scene.A red SUV can be seen with signs of damage.This is a developing story.
