2 killed in fatal head-on crash in Tri-State area

DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. (WKRC) - A road was closed following a "serious" crash in the Tri-State area. According to a post from the New Trenton Volunteer Fire Department, a crash occurred in the 2700 block of Harrison Brookville Road at around 3 a.m. Authorities said the road was still closed as of 8 a.m. "for investigation by law enforcement due to the seriousness of the accident." Drivers intending on driving eastbound on US 52, which was also closed, were advised to take ST RD 1 up to I-74 to get to Ohio. Sergeant Stephen Wheeles of the Indiana State Police later made a post revealing that two people were killed in the collision, which involved two vehicles crashing head-on. "Two occupants of a passenger vehicle died in the collision," Wheeles wrote. "Two other occupants were transported to area hospitals with life threatening injuries. The driver of a commercial motor vehicle sustained minor injuries."
