2 killed in crash with semi-truck on 210 Freeway near Sunland
Two people were killed in a crash with a semi-truck on the eastbound side of the 210 Freeway near Sunland Friday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Authorities responded to a crash involving a car and a big rig between Sunland Boulevard and La Tuna Canyon Road at 9:53 p.m. A 35-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were pronounced dead at the scene. The 43-year-old truck driver declined to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. The eastbound side of the 210 is shut down while authorities investigate the crash. The eastbound lanes of the freeway are expected to remain closed for at least an hour, according to the California Highway Patrol. Watch the report from Sky 5 in the video at the top of this story.
