2 killed after drunk driver crashes into motorcycle on Oregon highway, officials say
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- An Oregon woman was arrested on Monday after causing a deadly crash that killed two people, Oregon State Police announced. Kristin Cowan, 35, faces DUII, reckless driving and manslaughter charges. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail. The crash occurred just after 9:30 p.m. on Hwy 62 near milepost 3 in Jackson County. Investigators say that Cowan was driving a Dodge Ram pickup and struck the rear of a Kawasaki Eliminator motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, 56-year-old John Stribling, and the passenger, Bobby Stribling-King, 44, were declared dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
