2 innocent people killed in Pomona after DUI suspect rams police car, triggers fatal chase

A violent police chase ended in tragedy late Wednesday night in Pomona when a fleeing suspect collided with another car, killing the two people inside instantly, according to authorities.The suspect, who was allegedly armed and driving under the influence, is now in custody facing multiple felony charges.The incident began just after 9:30 p.m. in the 400 block of East 10th Street, according to the Pomona Police Department.That's when officers were interviewing a domestic violence victim when the suspect, Marshall Judson, returned to the location in a black Dodge pickup truck.According to authorities, Judson drove recklessly and intentionally rammed a parked patrol vehicle before speeding away.During the ensuing chase, Judson’s truck struck a silver Ford sedan near the intersection of South Garey Avenue and County Road. SUGGESTED: High-speed pursuit ends in violent crash in Reseda; 2 injuredThe impact was so severe that both people inside the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel. Following the crash, officers recovered a firearm from Judson's vehicle and booked him on charges of vehicular manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, felony evasion, DUI, and various firearm offenses.The identities, ages, and genders of the two victims have not yet been released, as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner is still working to notify their family.SUGGESTED: Driver accused of inhaling nitrous oxide leads police chaseThe investigation is ongoing, and Pomona authorities are seeking additional witnesses. If you have any information regarding the pursuit or the collision, you are urged to contact the Pomona Police Department at 909-622-1241. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
