2 injured in North Sacramento field plane crash
Two individuals suffered critical injuries following a plane accident in a North Sacramento field on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews responded to the scene near Claire Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. and found two men in critical condition. Firefighters had to extract one victim from the plane. Initially, it was reported that one person had passed away, but fire officials later clarified that the individual had been resuscitated. The aircraft involved was a smaller, single-engine plane, and the cause of the crash is currently being investigated. Captain Justin Sylvia from Sacramento Fire mentioned that the wet weather in the area would present challenges in removing the plane from the field, stating that specialized equipment might be needed due to the soft ground conditions.
