2 fatalities in 3-vehicle collision involving semi-truck near Salinas.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a tragic accident occurred on Thursday near Salinas, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The collision took place on Highway 183, just south of Cooper Road, at approximately 4:47 p.m. A red sedan was struck from behind by an SUV while waiting to make a left turn, causing it to collide with an oncoming semi-truck traveling north. Both occupants of the red sedan sadly did not survive the crash.
