2 dead, 1 critically injured in crash near Memphis airport
This story has been updated. MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A two-vehicle crash left two men dead and another man critically injured early Tuesday morning near the airport area. Memphis Police said they responded to an accident at Winchester Road and Swinnea Road, just a few minutes after 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, two men were pronounced dead. Another man who was injured in the crash had to be rushed to a nearby hospital. He is currently listed in critical condition. The accident blocked off all eastbound and westbound lanes of traffic at Winchester Road and the northbound lane of Swinnea Road.
