2 adults dead, 2 kids hurt after car crash in Oakton area of Fairfax County
Two adults are dead, and two kids were injured following a car crash on Route 123 over Interstate 66 in Oakton , Virginia, early Sunday morning. In a post on X just before 2 a.m., on May 17, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) officers responded to the scene of the fatal crash, where a woman who was driving was pronounced dead. WATCH LIVE A man who was the passenger was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, authorities said. Police said one of the children is in critical condition. Northbound and southbound 123 were shut down while Crash Reconstruction Unit detectives investigated. Drivers were asked to use another route and avoid the area. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
