19-year-old arrested after car hits utility pole
The Johnston Police Department said it arrested a 19-year-old after a car crash involving a utility pole. Elvis Goins was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test after he allegedly crashed into a utility pole and his vehicle rolled over on Greenville Avenue. The crash occurred around 2 a.m. MORE NEWS: Block Island Ferry services shut down due to storms Police alleged that Goins was showing several signs of impairment after he was pulled from his vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
