17-year-old killed after ejection from OHV full of teens doing 'donuts' in Garden City
A 17-year-old California girl died after an off-highway vehicle crash in Garden City, according to the Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division. The crash was reported at about 4:15 p.m. on June 19. Officials said four teenagers from California were riding in an off-highway vehicle and doing "donuts" in the parking lot of Heritage Park when the vehicle overturned. The 17-year-old girl, who was sitting in the back of the vehicle, was ejected. Officials said she was not wearing a seat belt or a helmet. Emergency responders provided lifesaving efforts, but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene. The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division thanked Intermountain Health Lifeflight, the Rich County Sheriff's Office, Rich County EMS and the Garden City Fire District for their response and assistance. The agency expressed condolences to the victim's family and friends. The crash remained under investigation. ____
