16-year-old killed in Shelby County crash with car, fence, greenhouse; 3 others injured
Video above: A look at Monday's forecastA 16-year-old from Alabaster was killed Sunday afternoon in a crash in Shelby County that also injured three others.The crash happened around 2:10 p.m. near Hoover on Alabama 119 when James Clowdus' car collided with another vehicle driven by a 64-year-old man.After the collision, Clowdus' car went off the road and crashed into a fence and a greenhouse. Authorities said he was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car. He died at the scene.A 14-year-old passenger in the car was injured and taken to a hospital.The driver of the other vehicle and his passenger were also hurt and taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
