12-year-old boy killed in dirt bike crash in Pawnee County
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A 12-year-old boy was killed in a crash Thursday evening in Pawnee County. It happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas Highway 156 and 210th Avenue, just west of Larned. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Honda CRF150 dirt bike heading south on 210th Avenue drove in front of an eastbound Ford F-250 on K-156, and the truck hit the dirt bike. The dirt bike's rider, 12-year-old Gabriel Mull of Larned, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man from Great Bend, had no apparent injuries.
