One person was taken to an area hospital after a van crashed into a semi Monday night in Franklin County, according to dispatch. The crash happened around 9:29 p.m. when a van crashed into the back of a semi near the intersection of Mason Dixon Road and Maugansville Road near the Maryland state line. At the scene, first responders found the driver of the van was trapped and quickly worked to remove them from the van. Once they were safely rescued from the crash, they were rushed to an area hospital for evaluation and possible treatment, dispatch said. It's unclear the extent of any possible injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
