1 taken to hospital after train, car crash near Fort Lupton
DENVER (KDVR) — One person was taken to the hospital following a crash involving a train and a car near Fort Lupton early on Thursday morning, according to a social media post from the Fort Lupton Fire Protection District. Around 5:33 a.m., emergency crews responded to an accident between a car and a train at the intersection of County Road 10 and South Rollie Avenue. An image shared by the agency shows a blue Dodge Challenger with damage to the rear passenger side of the vehicle. One person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Fort Lupton Police Department. County Roads 19, 8 and 6 were blocked due to the train. Railroad crews had to separate the train cars to allow vehicles to pass.
