1 person in critical condition after in Las Vegas crash
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in northeast Las Vegas, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. The crash occurred on East Craig Road, west of North Nellis Boulevard, on Sunday, July 19, around 10:18 p.m. A 2026 Kia K4 was going eastbound on Craig Road, east of Nellis Boulevard, in the left of three travel lanes when it struck a man, believed to be in his 50s or 60s, who was standing in the roadway outside of a marked or implied crosswalk, according to police. Officials said the front of the Kia struck the man, projecting him onto the roadway. Emergency medical crews took the man to UMC's Trauma Center, where he was found to have life-threatening injuries. Police have not released the identity of the man. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to investigators. Police identified the driver as Richard Massetti, 41, of Las Vegas. The collision remains under investigation by Metro's Collision Investigation Section.
