1 killed, 3 others injured in crash on All American Freeway in Fayetteville; Road shut, police say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Part of the All American Freeway had to close overnight Monday into Tuesday following a deadly crash, police said. According to the police, the collision happened around 11:40 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway between Cliffdale Road and Morganton Road. One person was killed and three more were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center to be treated for their injuries, according to Fayetteville police on scene. Police said they are not releasing the name of the victim who was killed pending notification of the next of kin. CBS 17 was at the scene where several emergency responders were working to clear up at least two cars with heavy front-end damage in an apparent head-on collision. The crash is being investigated by the Fayetteville Police Department Traffic Unit.
