1 killed, 3 hurt in Oregon highway crash
A fatal collision in Marion County involving three vehicles occurred on Friday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries, as reported by Oregon State Police. The incident took place on Highway 551 near milepost 3, with emergency responders arriving at the scene around 4:30 p.m. The crash was initiated when a Dodge Sprinter rear-ended a Hyundai Santa Fe, causing the Hyundai to be pushed into the northbound lane where it was hit by a Toyota Sienna. Tragically, passenger Danielle Maria Lightfoot, 38, from Aurora, who was in the Hyundai, succumbed to her injuries. The other passengers sustained minor injuries and received treatment at a nearby hospital. The crash led to highway disruptions for approximately seven hours.
