1 killed, 1 in critical condition after wrong-way crash in Palmdale
One person was killed and another remains in critical condition after a wrong-way crash in Palmdale. The incident occurred on April 12 at the intersection of Avenue T and 70th Street at around 4:47 a.m., the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station said. A male driver in a Ford F-150 Raptor truck was traveling eastbound on Avenue T when, for reasons that remain unclear, he veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a driver in a Honda Civic. Deputies responded to the scene and extracted both drivers from their vehicles. The men were taken to Antelope Valley Hospital with serious injuries. The Ford driver later died from his injuries. The Honda driver remained in critical condition. Authorities did not release their identities. The cause of the deadly crash remains under investigation.
