1 juvenile killed, another injured in crash on Indiana Avenue in Winston-Salem
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — One juvenile was killed and another was injured in a single-car crash early Saturday morning, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. At 1:48 a.m., officers responded to a crash in the 5700 block of Indiana Avenue and found two injured juveniles. The driver was taken to a local medical facility with serious injuries. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The WSPD has not released their identities. A preliminary investigation determined that the car, a 2005 Honda, was traveling west on Indiana Avenue toward Bethabara Road when the car lost control and left the roadway, crashing into a bridge abutment before coming to a stop in the middle of the roadway. It is unknown why the car lost control at this time. No other information is available. The crash remains under investigation.
