1 individual sent to hospital following 3-vehicle collision on Chicago's Kennedy Expressway
Early Monday morning, there was a three-car collision on the Kennedy Expressway that resulted in one person being transported to the hospital. According to the Illinois State Police, the crash involving a black Chevrolet, a silver Toyota, and a black Infiniti occurred around 4:51 a.m. on the outbound Kennedy near Damen Avenue. One of the vehicles overturned during the incident. One of the passengers from that vehicle was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, although their condition was not specified. Following the crash, multiple lanes on the expressway were temporarily shut down, but they have since been reopened. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
