1 dead in northwest Austin crash, roadway closed
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin Police (APD) said a crash around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in northwest Austin left one person dead. As a result of the investigation, police shut down all northbound Research Boulevard lanes, just north of Braker Lane. Officials said the incident occurred between an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck. The driver remained on scene after the incident, according to police. Lanes are expected to reopen in a couple of hours, according to law enforcement. This is a developing story.
