1 dead following 2-vehicle crash near Golden
DENVER (KDVR) — A crash closed parts of Highway 93 north of Golden on Tuesday afternoon, according to a post on X from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. The Colorado State Patrol provided an update on Tuesday afternoon that around 3:48 p.m., CSP responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash west of Arvada. The crash involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck, which collided. The motorcycle rider, identified as a 55-year-old man, was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Troopers closed the northbound lanes of Highway 93 between 64th Avenue and 82nd Avenue for several hours for the investigation. The roadway has since reopened.
